This month we were able to calm down a little and do a little better. We ran a couple of trophy dashes and the best finish we got was second place. I believe all we have to do is calm down just a little bit more and we'll get our win, it's coming soon.
The motor is still running great. Leak-down is good and nothing bad in the filter. I can't complain at all about the motor. We broke a couple of trannys this month though. Probably through being a little over aggressive, but all in all I believe it was a good month.
Next month I get to live another dream. I will be driving an asphalt supermodified in the Supermodified Racing League (SRL) events at Madera Speedway on August 3rd (Vukovich Classic) and at Altamont Raceway Park on August 4th. If things go right, I may get a chance to do some more. The car belongs to Jim Burgess and it finished 4th in SRL points last year and it seems to be a pretty competitive car. I won't have to calm down to drive that!
Fifteen races down and a bunch more to go!
